MANDATE

 
 
According to Sec. 5 of Title II of PD 198, the purpose of forming a local water district include the following:
 
(a) acquiring, installing, improving, maintaining and operating water supply and distribution systems for domestic, industrial, municipal and agricultural uses for residents and lands within the boundaries of such districts,
 
(b) providing, maintaining and operating wastewater collection, treatment and disposal facilities, and
 
(c) conducting such other functions and operations incidental to water resources development, utilization and disposal within such districts, as are necessary or incidental to said purpose.
 
 
 

VISION

 
Tanauan Water District is the sole provider of sustainable potable water & wastewater treatment services in the City of Tanauan.
 

MISSION

 
Tanauan Water District commits to remain an active partner with the city of Tanauan in driving inclusive growth by realizing its vision through its dedicated board of directors, a competent management team, and a motivated and skilled workforce, which adopts continuous improvement in sustainable operations that enjoins all stakeholders.
 
 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 
Sec. 17 and 18 of PD 198 describes the powers and duties of the Board:
 
All powers, privileges, and duties of the district shall be exercised and performed by and through the Board: Provided, however, that any executive, administrative or ministerial power shall be delegated and redelegated by the Board to officers or agents designated for such purpose by the Board… The function of the Board shall be to establish policy. The Board shall not engage in the detailed management of the district.
